The Hunger Task Force is seeking an Executive Director

  The Hunger Task Force is seeking a proven leader in non-profit management.  Applicant must be a clear communicator, with a successful track record in raising funds from individuals, corporations and foundations.  Bachelor’s degree and/or combination of equivalent employment and education experience required.  Application deadline 11/2/07.  Email resume to: lacrossehunger@centurytel.net

Principle Duties & Responsibilities: 

v  Maintain a cooperative relationship with major funding sources.

v  Develop strategies to encourage and increase contributions.

v  Supervise the daily operation of the Food Recovery Program, the Street Community Garden and educational activities regarding hunger.

v  Maintain positive relations with over 35 recipient agencies; recruit and submit to the Board of Directors for approval all new recipient agencies.   

v  Evaluate the effectiveness of HTF activities and reports results to the Board.  

v  Work with the Treasurer to manage the Hunger Task Force budget.

v  Recruit and select qualified staff.
